Nursery Rhyme Baby Shower

The centerpieces and food all revolved around Nursery Rhymes.  All decorations were made with foam board and markers, colored paper, mason jars, and flowers.

Prizes for games were placed in simple brown bags, they were then designed with Nursery Rhymes.  Basic markers were used.

Movie themed Co-ed Baby Shower

I asked the couple to select their favorite movies.  They selected 20 movies and I based the decorations and games on those movies. The posters were rubber cemented to black foam board and the movie reels were made from white foam board and markers.

While the party was going on, we played Ferris Bueller's Day Off in the Back.

The food and snacks were based on the movies as well.

We had an assortment of food aside from the movie snacks.

Games included making the baby out of play-dough, movie trivia, and a bottle drinking game.  The dad to be selected 12 men to join him.

Halloween 2013 / Shredder costume

Made one of my kids this Shredder costume.  I made the mask out of cardboard and tape and then used papier mache.  The rest of the outfit was made by adding felt pieces to a sweat suit he already owned.  His wife created the ninja turtle outfits for herself and their three kids.

Day of the Dead Altar

I created a Day of the Dead altar, celebrating my grandmother (she was an amazing woman).

All the great grand kids loved it.

I made the skeleton out papier mache and then painted it, and finished it off with a clear spray.

She loved to play loteria which is the Mexican bingo.

My grandmother loved birds, so I created birds form her old Mexican dresses that she used to wear all the time. Our plan is to use the birds on our Christmas tree this year.
